ContractPodAi Unveils Groundbreaking AI Legal Assistant
Jerry Levine, a seasoned General Counsel and advocate for legal technology, has been waiting for a technological solution that could lighten the load for legal professionals. His vision has materialized with the advent of Leah, an AI-enabled legal assistant from ContractPodAi, launched earlier this year.
Leah has the ability to respond to user queries on contractual matters and offer assistance with contract redlining, Levine, who is also ContractPodAi’s GC and Chief Evangelist, explained. Furthermore, Leah imparts diverse insights to help in-house legal teams to perform contract-related tasks more efficiently and conscientiously.
“We want people to feel that they’ve got a solution that really will help them and make them move faster, but also give them insights and information that they can use” Levine shared with Legal Dive.
Meet Leah: The AI-powered Legal Assistant
Fueled by ContractPodAi’s proprietary AI, OpenAI’s ChatGPT generative AI technology, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Watson, Leah is poised to be a game-changer. The “Ask Leah” feature is projected to be highly popular among ContractPodAi users.
This interactive chatbot allows users to inquire about contract details and receive instantaneous responses. For instance, a user could question if a specific contract includes a termination for convenience clause.
Leah is designed to respond in a way that either pinpoints the exact provision in the contract or indicates that such a clause was excluded during prior discussions between the parties, Levine elaborated. Users can also request an explanation of particular clauses or inquire about their larger contract repository.
According to Levine, “[u]sing the ‘Ask Leah’ function can help clarify clauses, simplify wording, or even provide translations of clauses for the use.” “And the best part is that the responses returned are human-like, as opposed to simply extracted text or single word answers.”
Leah One Drop: Streamlining Contract Creation
Levine further highlighted the use of the Leah One Drop feature during the early stages of the contracting process. This feature allows users to effortlessly create contract records by dragging a document into ContractPodAi for uploading, paving the way for a more streamlined and efficient contract management process.
