Philippines to block Grok AI over sexualised deepfakes

It is reported that the Philippines will block X’s Grok AI chatbot due to concerns over its generation of sexualized images, according to Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda. The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center is working with the National Telecommunications Commission to implement the immediate blocking of Grok, with all internet service providers required to comply. The block would take effect within the day. This decision follows similar actions by Indonesia and Malaysia, which restricted access to Grok to protect the community from AI-generated pornographic content.
