President Trump greenlights Nvidia H200 AI chip sales to China

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said the US will allow Nvidia to ship its H200 AI chips to “approved customers” in China and elsewhere, under a set of conditions, and also said that Chinese President Xi Jinping “responded positively” to the proposal. Trump’s post appeared to state that 25% of the chips sales will be paid to the U.S. government as part of the deal, which the president said allows “for continued strong National Security.”
