Jonathan Kanter and Doha Mekki, who led the DOJ antitrust division under Biden, have co-founded FluxCap, an AI tool for litigators that aims to speed up evaluating claims, running discovery, analyzing evidence, and outlining arguments. The team includes four other former DOJ antitrust officials and engineers led by ex-Palantir tech lead Marshall Seid. FluxCap has raised $6.4 million in seed funding from Y Combinator, Bloomberg Beta, Burford Capital, and others. Boutique firm Kressin Powers is an early customer, with two state AG offices in procurement talks.
