This issue has sparked significant controversy, with Elon Musk, owner of X and developer of Grok, accusing the UK government of attempting to suppress free speech after ministers threatened actions that could potentially block the platform. The UK government, supported by regulator Ofcom, is considering measures against X due to Grok’s generation of explicit images, including those involving minors. Ofcom is conducting an expedited assessment of the companies’ responses to these concerns.
