The Singapore Academy of Law has rolled out a series of AI-powered upgrades to LawNet, its legal research platform used by more than 75% of practising lawyers in Singapore. The changes include an expanded legislation module now covering 10 statutes, AI-generated annotated statutes (starting with the Companies Act, with a provisional patent filed on the methodology), digital access to 79 Academy Publishing titles via Academy Library 2.0, and a revamped Sentencing Information and Research Repository. A LawNet partner API pilot will let selected legal tech platforms integrate LawNet judgments. Separately, SAL has partnered with LegalOn Technologies to make its Corporate References, including the SAL Clause Bank and Commercial Precedents, available within LegalOn’s workflow, with SAL identified as the source.
