Grace period in South Korea AI law may only have limited impact

It is reported that South Korea’s government appears to be leaning toward suspending some or all of the obligations and penalties under the AI Basic Act for a few years after it takes effect in January 2026. The move is intended to ease business concerns and will be detailed in upcoming enforcement rules.
