Brazil authorities recommend X’s Grok halt AI-generated non-consensual sexual content

The Brazilian ​consumer protection ‌agency Senacon, data protection authority ANPD and the Office of Federal Prosecutors have issued a joint statement announcing they have made recommendations to X to implement measures with respect to Grok AI to prevent the creation and dissemination of non-consensual sexually explicit content, particularly involving minors. The agencies have set a 30-day period to monitor X’s compliance with these recommendations. This action follows previous calls from Brazilian lawmakers for the suspension of Grok due to its alleged role in generating such deepfake images.
