South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has launched an AI Business Innovation Team to fully integrate AI into its core operations, such as handling civil complaints and cases. The FTC has already built a foundation for this by creating four AI services—natural language Q&A, financial term review, report drafting, and civil complaint recommendations—within its data portal, FairData. This initiative follows a 2024 task force that identified seven key areas for AI utilization and developed implementation plans for each.
