US Customs issues updated guidance on reciprocal tariff exclusion for specificed products, including semiconductors and ICs

The US Customs and Border Protection has issued updated guidance which sets out a list of specified products which will be exempt from the reciprocal tariffs imposed by President Trump under Executive Order 14257. The exemptions broadly cover semiconductors, integrated circuits and smartphones – meaning that Chinese products in those categories will likely be spared from Trump’s 125% tariffs.
