The UK and UK have abstained from signing a joint statement on Inclusive and Sustainable Artificial Intelligence for People and the Planet at the AI Action Summit in Paris. The statement sets out priorities including “ensuring AI is open, inclusive, transparent, ethical, safe, secure and trustworthy, taking into account international frameworks for all” and “making AI sustainable for people and the planet”. The statement has been signed by 60 countries, including India, China, Japan, Canada, Brazil, France and Australia.
