South Korea to outline AI legislation roadmap for 2025

It is reported that, following the passage of South Korea’s “AI ​​Basic Act” toward the end of 2024, the government has drawn up a legislative roadmap for 2025, with follow-up laws and enforcement decrees expected by the end of June 2025. A supplementary budget bill expected in the next few months will reportedly allocate the government an additional trillion won ($680 million) to fund AI projects in 2025.
