South Korea issues guidelines for AI, digital medical products

South Korea has published a new set of guidelines and updated five existing ones on the development, testing and approval of medical products that use AI and other digital technologies. These guidelines were adopted following the implementation of the Digital Medical Products Act on 24 January 2025, which establishes a comprehensive framework for managing, manufacturing and importing digital medical products.
