It is reported that Representative Hwang Jung-ah of the Democratic Party of Korea has proposed a bill allowing companies in national high-tech strategic industries, such as AI and semiconductors, to qualify for military service exemptions regardless of their size. This military service exemption recognizes alternative service for individuals with specific qualifications, but the bill stipulates that at least 10% of companies in these industries must be selected to receive this designation, despite the strict conditions involved.
