This comprehensive report evaluates the Philippines’ AI landscape across five dimensions: legal/regulatory, socio-cultural, economic, scientific and educational, and technical/infrastructural. Key findings highlight the need for a dedicated lead agency to consolidate national AI governance efforts, the importance of embedding ethics in AI policy tailored to the Filipino context, and the necessity to increase funding for capacity building, research, and development.
