It is reported that at a coordination meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw, Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw stated that the government is actively working on drafting the National AI Strategy and National AI Policy. Minister Kyaw emphasised the need to establish ethical guidelines, standards, and regulations for citizens to follow, to raise awareness about AI, and to systematically develop skilled human resources in AI technology within the region while fostering international collaboration.
