It is reported that at the Cybersecurity Professional Capability Development Programme, Malaysia’s Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has announced that a comprehensive report on Malaysia’s proposed regulatory framework for AI is expected to be finalised by the end of June 2025. The report, being prepared by the National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO), will guide Malaysia’s approach to AI regulation, potentially through legislation, new rules, or common standards.
