Keep Call Centres in America Act introduced

US senators Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Jim Justice (R-W) have introduced a new bipartisan bill, called the “Keep Call Centers in America Act of 2025” which proposes to ensure call centre jobs remain in the US by limiting federal benefits for companies who ship them overseas. Notably, the bill will require call center workers to immediately disclose to callers the physical location of the call center and/or whether artificial intelligence is being used. Call workers are further required to transfer communications to a call center located in the US if a customer requests that they do so.
