Japan releases draft guidelines on procurement and use of generative AI in government

Japan’s Digital Agency has launched a public consultation on draft guidelines for the procurement and use of generative AI technologies in governmental operations. The guidelines aim to facilitate AI adoption while addressing associated risks, with a focus on innovation and efficiency in public administration. The consultation closes on 11 April 2025.
