Japan lower house passes AI Promotion Bill

It is reported that Japan’s House of Representatives, the lower chamber of parliament, has passed the Bill on the Promotion of Research and Development and Application of Artificial Intelligence-Related Technologies. The legislation is expected to be enacted during the current parliamentary session set to end in June 2025 after deliberations at the House of Councillors, the upper chamber.
