Indonesia seeks public input on national AI roadmap and AI ethics guidelines

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has initiated public consultations to refine the Draft White Paper on the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Roadmap and the Draft Concept of AI Ethics Guidelines. This initiative aims to gather feedback from stakeholders, including government institutions, academia, industry, civil society organizations, and the media, to accelerate the adoption of AI in an inclusive, sustainable, and responsible manner. The white paper is intended to serve as a strategic foundation for future AI governance and utilization policies, while the ethics guidelines build upon existing frameworks to ensure ethical AI development. The consultation closes on 22 August 2025.
