It is reported that the Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, aims to finalize and release a national road map for AI utilization by June 2025, which will subsequently lead to the creation of AI regulations. Minister Meutya Hafid highlighted the importance of establishing clear guidelines to optimise AI use and mitigate its negative impacts, and noted that discussions with stakeholders, including technology firms and international agencies, have been ongoing since early 2025.
