Global Coalition on Telecommunications adopt principles on AI adoption in the telecommunications industry

Through the Global Coalition on Telecommunications (GCOT), the UK, Australia, Canada, Japan and the US have released a joint statement adopting the principles on AI adoption in the telecommunications industry, namely relating to (1) innovation and competition; (2) transparency, explainability and human oversight; (3) privacy; (4) fairness; (5) security and resilience; and (6) environmental sustainability. The principles are intended for industry leaders, researchers and those developing AI solutions for telecommunications.
