Further updates revealed about Indonesia’s incoming Presidential Regulation for AI Development Roadmap

It is reported that the Ministry of Communication and Digital in Indonesia is working on a presidential regulation to establish a roadmap for AI development, with further discussions scheduled for August and September 2025, according to Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital, Nezar Patria. It is also revealed that the Director General of Digital Economy at the Ministry of Communication and Digital has gathered input from various ministries and institutions to reach a consensus. Once finalized, the results will be submitted to the Ministry of Law for the legislative process. The AI development regulation to be issued as a presidential regulation.
