EU Commission withdraws AI Liability Directive

It has been confirmed via the European Commission’s 2025 Work Programme that the AI Liability Directive has been withdrawn, with the comment by the Commission as follows: “No foreseeable agreement – the Commission will assess whether another proposal should be tabled or another type of approach should be chosen.”
