EDPB expands scope of its ChatGPT task force to include DeepSeek

The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has broadened the scope of its ChatGPT task force to include other AI systems, including the Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek, in response to investigations by national data protection authorities into data collection practices. To strengthen coordination on privacy matters, the EDPB has announced the establishment of a quick response team to assist national enforcement efforts.
