Dutch DPA launches consultation on prohibited AI systems used for criminal risk assessment

The Dutch Data Protection Authority has launched a consultation in relation to the EU AI Act prohibition of AI systems that assess an individual’s likelihood of committing a criminal offence solely based on profiling or personality traits. The Authority seeks input from stakeholders to clarify the enforcement and interpretation of this prohibition. The consultation closes on 3 April 2025.
