It is reported that the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the Philippines is leading an initiative to create a regulatory framework and standards for AI in the country. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, the ICT undersecretary for industry development, emphasized the need for a multi-sectoral approach with centralized leadership to ensure a cohesive framework.
