Department of Commerce launches call for proposals on AI exports program

The US Department of Commerce has launched a Call for Proposals for the American AI Exports Program, effective 1 April 2026, inviting US companies to form industry-led consortia to submit proposals for delivering full-stack US AI technology packages to international partners, with applications accepted until 30 June 2026. These packages should be structured as integrated offerings that provide products or services for foreign markets that include the following AI stack layers: AI-optimized hardware, data pipelines and labeling systems, AI models and systems, security and cybersecurity measures for AI models and systems, and AI applications for sector-specific or functional use cases. This initiative aligns with President Trump’s Executive Order aimed at expanding the global deployment of secure American AI technologies, promoting economic and national security, and strengthening ties with allies.
