China and Laos to jointly build AI innovation cooperation center

China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Laos have signed an agreement to establish the China-Laos Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Cooperation Center, marking the first AI collaboration platform between China and ASEAN countries. This initiative aims to enhance Laos’ capabilities in the intelligent era and support the development of various sectors within the country, reflecting a strong commitment from both nations to deepen AI cooperation. The center will serve as a foundation for further collaboration between Guangxi and ASEAN countries, focusing on implementing the “AI Capacity-Building Action Plan for Good and for All” proposed by China, and promoting inclusive global AI development through efforts in areas such as cross-border data and talent training.
