China and Brazil sign letter of intent on cooperation in digital economy investments

China’s Ministry of Commerce of China and Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services have signed a Letter of Intent on cooperation in digital economy investments. The parties agreed to support companies in exploring joint initiatives and participating in projects under Brazil’s industrial policy. Areas identified for cooperation include the development of digital economy infrastructure such as digitalisation processes, network connectivity, broadband networks, internet services, satellite navigation, terrestrial and submarine cables, data centres, cloud computing, low-carbon infrastructure, and digital systems including AI, 5G, and smart cities.
