The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, President of the Treasury Board, has launched Canada’s first AI Strategy for the federal public service. The strategy, developed with input from various stakeholders, aims to advance 4 key priority areas: (1) establishing an AI Centre of Expertise to support and to help coordinate government-wide AI efforts; (2) ensuring AI systems are secure and used responsibly; (3) providing training and talent development pathways; and (4) building trust through openness and transparency in how AI is used.
