The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) has announced plans to invest R$ 500 million in the Sustainability and Renewable Energies for AI Program as part of the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan (PBIA). The Sustainable AI Infrastructure initiative will fund projects aimed at establishing green data centers in Brazil, addressing the significant energy consumption and environmental impact of traditional data centers.
