Bird leaves EU market

It is reported that Dutch software firm Bird, one of the Netherlands’ most prominent tech startups which specializes in cloud communications and AI-powered business solutions, plans to relocate most of its operations out of Europe due to the EU AI Act, which the company claims hinder innovation in the rapidly advancing AI era. CEO Robert Vis announced that Bird, formerly known as MessageBird, will establish offices in the US, Singapore, Dubai, Istanbul, and Thailand while retaining only one European office in Lithuania.
