Australian Sports Commission launches AI in sport guidelines

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has launched two guidelines, the “Guide for Responsible AI in Sport” and the “Roadmap for AI in Australian Sport,” to assist all stakeholders in the sports sector in utilizing AI effectively and ethically. Developed in collaboration with CSIRO and over 100 representatives from various sectors, these guidelines aim to enhance AI adoption while addressing associated risks. The roadmap identifies four priority areas for AI impact and suggests that efficiencies gained through AI could free up substantial volunteer time, potentially transforming the sporting experience for millions in Australia.
