The artists argue that these changes could significantly harm their livelihoods and the music industry, which contributed a record £7.6 billion to the UK economy in 2023. The protest aims to raise awareness about the implications of the new regulations, which would enable AI developers to utilise creators’ content unless rights holders choose to opt out.
