The launch of the AI&T community in Mali can be traced to April 2024, when Mohamed MALET initiated the project. This initiative, supported by the International Trade Centre’s NTF V FastTrackTech Project, aims to democratize artificial intelligence and machine learning in Mali, transforming them into drivers of inclusive and responsible economic development. The project seeks to unite players in the Malian ecosystem to create an environment that favors innovation and fosters an incentive-based regulatory framework. This effort is part of a broader strategy to build resilient trade competitiveness by fast-tracking the digital technology sector in Mali and other African countries.
