The UK government has announced the inaugural meeting of its new AI Energy Council, designed to ensure the nation’s AI ambitions and clean energy goals work harmoniously. The council was unveiled in January 2025 as part of the government’s response to the AI Opportunities Action Plan. The council will also take steps to ensure the secure adoption of AI across the UK’s energy network itself.
