Latham adds five energy and infrastructure partners amid AI data center boom

Latham & Watkins has hired five energy and infrastructure partners from Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, and Orrick to expand its US project development and finance practice. The group includes Jason Bennett, who led Baker Botts’ global projects group for 28 years, joining in Houston alongside Matt Fusina, with Thomas Holmberg heading to Washington DC. Sidley’s Jessica Adkins and Orrick’s Charles Armbrust complete the hires. The move reflects growing competition among major firms for talent handling LNG, power generation, renewables, and AI data center projects.
