U.S. Senators Mark R. Warner (D-VA) and Ted Budd (R-NC) have introduced the Workforce Transparency Act, which mandates the Department of Labor to collect and publicly disseminate data on AI usage in both public and private sectors to provide policymakers, researchers, businesses, and government entities with timely information to understand and address AI’s impact on the U.S. workforce, ultimately guiding the development of evidence-based solutions to workforce challenges posed by AI integration.
