The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore has announced plans to deploy the Assisted Chronic Disease Explanation using AI (ACE-AI) tool, developed by Synapxe, to enhance preventive healthcare. ACE-AI is designed to help primary care providers identify individuals at high risk of developing diabetes and hyperlipidaemia within the next three years by analyzing factors such as age and medical history. Those identified as high-risk will undergo annual cardiovascular disease risk screenings, an increase from the current triennial schedule, with subsidies provided. This initiative aims to facilitate earlier detection and intervention, potentially reducing serious cardiovascular events and long-term healthcare costs. The rollout to primary care providers in Healthier SG General Practitioner clinics and polyclinics is scheduled to begin in early 2027.
