NVIDIA and SK Group to build AI factory to drive South Korea’s manufacturing and digital transformation

It is announced that the South Korean Government, SK Group and NVIDIA are collaborating to build an AI factory in South Korea, featuring over 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs, to advance semiconductor research, digital twin development, and AI agent creation. This facility will support SK subsidiaries like SK hynix and SK Telecom, as well as external organizations, through a GPU-as-a-service model. Additionally, SK hynix is utilizing NVIDIA’s CUDA-X technologies and Omniverse libraries to enhance chip manufacturing and develop semiconductor fab digital twins, aiming for faster production ramp-up and increased efficiency. SK Telecom plans to launch an industrial cloud powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs, enabling startups, enterprises, and government agencies in Asia to accelerate digital twin and robotics innovation.
